Stephanie White and team earned huge respect from critics, opponents and fans following their incredible 2025 season. Aari McDonald, Aerial Powers and Odyssey Sims were key midseason acquisitions who contributed heavily for the side.
Sims even shared a heartfelt message for the Indiana Fever team and fanbase following their semifinal run. Interestingly, the player was not in any public shows or appearances for the Fever team as she quickly moved to her other commitments. But now her recent success once again called for attention, and the Fever front office also took note of it.

Odyssey Sims Wins AU Championship
The veteran guard played in every AU season so far and had been very competitive on the floor, playing in a traditional 5V5 format game. In the 2026 edition, the layer was with the Gold Rush team and took care of their offensive end of the floor.
The explosive scorer netted a record 44 points in the semifinal and 30 points in the final as the Gold Rush team won the individual championship. The Indiana Fever also shared the news on their official ‘X’ handle, congratulating the champion.

With a winner’s medal around her neck, Odyssey Sims said, “I’m just happy. Like, I finally did it. This means more to me than anything else right now.”

Indiana Fever Could Move Back To Odyssey Sims
The Indiana Fever is looking to strengthen its roster once again and challenge for the title. While man saw Kelsey Mitchell as the primary guard target and Aari McDonald as backup guard around Caitlin Clark, injury to McDonald made things complicated. Even KM is not giving assurance about her loyalty towards he Fever side.

In such a case, Sims would be a perfect fit for Stephanie white’s structure, who could even play as a starter, taking the load off CC. Through her heartfelt farewell message, she already hinted at her inclination towards’ the team.
It will be interesting to see which option the players choose or which direction the Indiana Fever takes their roster with their free-agent signings.
