The 2025 season already had many top prospects coming in from college, with French international Dominique Malonga also chasing the WNBA dream. In the mix, there was Olivia Miles, who would have changed the whole draft boards, except maybe Paige Bueckers’ selection. But the player opted to stay with the NCAA for her final season and even moved to TCU in the transfer portal.
Her decision shocked many, but Miles defended her TCU move, and now, at the end of the 2025-26 season, she proved herself right with her performances in the ‘new program’.

But now, playing on a more balanced team, the 22-year-old guard is showcasing her abilities with the ball, averaging 6.2 assists per game and ranking fifth in Div I. This not only boosts her stock in the upcoming WNBA draft, but she is also one of the candidates for the top pick, as a WNBA analyst highlights the pros of teaming up Paige Bueckers and Olivia Miles. Her decision to stay in the NCAAW makes more sense now. An improved CBA would be an additional perk of waiting for a year.

Your season’s on the line, your dream’s on the line with a group of people you really care about. That’s the difference between March and the regular season,” Miles told reporters.

Her high-IQ, elite playmaking skills can immediately enhance their offense and eventually replace or supplement Courtney Williams as a primary ball-handler.
