The Dallas Wings are looking to make a late surge in the WNBA. With their season going haywire, the only thing that they are pursuing right now is a strong finish. After all, with nine wins and 24 losses, the team has hit rock bottom. And two names that could have helped the Wings to restore some pride were Arike Ogunbowale and Paige Bueckers. Unfortunately, the team recently had some bad news.
Injuries this season have been a major cause of concern for most franchises. Big names like that of Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have been out on the bench for a significant amount of time now. And much like them, speculations about Bueckers, too, have circulated following the Wings’ latest update.
Paige Bueckers Injury Update Raises Tensions For Dallas Wings
The Dallas Wings already fielded a depleted side against the Indiana Fever. Owing to a right knee injury, Ogunbowale was unable to take part in the crucial game. Thankfully, her absence did not cause much harm to the side courtesy of Bueckers. The star rookie delivered a spirited performance that saved the day for the Wings.
But unfortunately, that might not be the case as Dallas gears up to face the Los Angeles Sparks. Owing to a lingering back injury, Bueckers has been listed as ‘probable’ as per reports from Joey Mistretta on X, formerly known as Twitter. And that was not all. As the latest addition, Aziaha James has also joined the probable list, who is nursing a right foot issue.
“Paige Bueckers (back) and Aziaha James (right foot) are both PROBABLE for Friday vs. the Sparks. Arike Ogunbowale (right knee) is OUT for the game,” wrote Mistretta (via X/JoeyMistretta_).

Arike Ogunbowale (right knee) is OUT for the game.
Meanwhile, the trio of Ogunbowale, Bueckers, and James are not the only injury concerns that are bothering Dallas. They will also miss the services of Tyasha Harris, who is out with a knee injury. Surely, things are looking a bit tight for the Wings. Especially, the loss of Bueckers, if she ultimately misses the game, will hurt them the most.

Paige Bueckers’ Absence Might Prove Costly For Dallas Wings
Bueckers has been in some electric form this season. Playing in her rookie season, the 23-year-old is averaging 18.4 points, 1.8 steals, 5.4 assists, and 4.0 rebounds. And not only that, her toughness as a rookie is also next level. Facing the toughest of defenders, the youngster has managed to keep her consistency intact.

According to an update from Bleacher Report, the Wings’ rookie has been blitzed on a minimum of 10% of the occasions. And that is not all. The best part is that Bueckers has committed only a single turnover on the blitz reps. Thus, it is evident that the 23-year-old has an enormous impact on the team. Now, with her injury status in question, fans cannot wait to see what happens next.
