The Indiana Fever is looking like a team on a mission. After the injury to Caitlin Clark, there was significant noise about the team. Speculations swirled about how the team would be able to get their campaign on track. But as it turns out, the Fever are doing their best to provide Clark with a launch pad once she returns. Extending their streak to four back-to-back wins, the Fever got the better of Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings.
At the moment, the Wings are struggling significantly. They have only managed to win 8 games while losing on 21 occasions. However, despite all the sombre talks, Bueckers recently delivered a spirited message.
Paige Bueckers Hopeful About Wings’ Turnaround
The Indiana Fever handed the Dallas Wings an 88-78 drubbing. Playing thrice against the Dallas side this season, Caitlin Clark’s team has won every time. But amidst the ruins, too, Paige Bueckers stood tall. On a night when none of the Wings’ players reached double digits. Bueckers, on the other hand, breathed fire. She dropped 22 points, coupled with four rebounds and assists each.
Next up, speaking about her team, the rookie looked utterly confident. She admitted that things were a bit tight on their end. However, Bueckers also stated the Wings are a young squad. She stated that it was a good sign that her team was fighting in every game and hasn’t given up easily. Speaking about the long run, Bueckers seemed confident that Wings will surely get better with time and make a turnaround.
“The fact we’re competing in every single game that we’re playing, and we’re building reps…we’re a very young team…play in tight games, and play with different lineups..it’s really positive for us to get these reps in the first year that we’re playing. I think it will only help us in the long run and make us better,” Bueckers said.

With this, she became the only player to push past the 400-point mark since 1997. She is also listed in the second position for the most rookie games with 15+ points and 5+ assists. And en route to this accomplishment, Bueckers surpassed WNBA legend Sue Bird.
