The basketball fans are once again in for a treat as the Unrivaled League will return in January. To capture the attention of the fans, the league targeted top players from the WNBA as the Unrivaled expands its 2026 roster with three young WNBA All-Stars, including Paige Bueckers. The addition certainly pumps up the excitement among fans as they get to watch the 2025 rookie in the new format.
The league announced its teams’ rosters a few days ago, with each team consisting of six players for the 3-on-3 tournament. Interestingly, there is a striking similarity between PB’s two sides—the 2025 Dallas Wings side and Breze FC in the 2026 Unrivaled league.
Paige Bueckers To Lead Young Breeze FC
One of the biggest coups for the second edition of the Unrivalled league is the 2025 Rookie of the Year Winner, and as expected, everyone was eager to know about her team for her debut. An analyst paired Bueckers with Breanna Stewart for the Unrivaled League, but when the list came out, the 23-year-old found herself in a familiar situation, playing with inexperienced stars.

Her team includes Rickea Jackson, Kate Martin, Cameron Brink, Dominique Malonga, and Aari McDonald. Out of the six players, only the Fever guard played for five seasons in the league, while the other players are still rookies with less than two years of experience.
The situation is similar to the 2025 Dallas Wings’ roster, which had Arike Ogunbowale as the only veteran star till the end of the season. Compared to the other teams, this ‘inexperience’ would be a major drawback for the team.

While PB will have better defenders at Unrivaled than those at the Wings, she will have to overcome more formidable opponents like defending champions Rose FC, who nearly have their championship core intact.
Also, Napheesa Collier’s Owls and Breanna Stewart’s Mystics have a mix of experience and powerful players on their roster. Last season’s runners-up, Vinyl, also carry size and expertise to challenge for the title.
Despite the potential shortfalls, the former UConn star is excited about the challenge and shared her enthusiasm on social media.
Paige Bueckers Is Excited With Her Roster At Breeze FC
There is one thing about the Wings’ 2025 top pick: she never backs down from putting up a fight in a game, as she showcased in the 2025 season. Even though her first season at the WNBA didn’t go as well as expected, she will be looking to change the narrative in her Unrivaled debut. Understanding the challenge ahead, the player is already ready and hyped up as she reacted to her roster announcement on ‘X’, formerly known as ‘Twitter’.
“TEAM YOUNGINS!!!! I know you see the purple too😏 let’s get it Breeze💜” Bueckers wrote.

Even though there is talent on the roster, Buecker might have to carry much of the offensive load for the team, with Jackson and Brink providing the defensive stability on the side. Dominique Malonga would be an impactful star as Aari McDonald and Kate Martin are famous for their explosive and energetic gameplay.
Only time will tell how the ‘Youngins’ will perform against the elites of the game.
