The CBA deadline is getting closer, with WNBA and WNBPA looking to fine-tune the terms for the upcoming seasons. The players’ association made an offer to lower the revenue share percentage, while the league is still holding to the 15% share. Paige Bueckers already gave her verdict on the 2026 season, and the new advancement didn’t change her stance.
During the Unrivaled league competition, PB spoke about finding common ground with the WNBA to get the season underway, and now the situation seems a bit better.

Paige Bueckers Sees CBA Talks As No True Negotiation
While there are many talks about a possible strike or delay in the 2026 WNBA season, the former UConn star was confident about sorting out the deal in time.
During the press conference, Buckers said, “At this point it’s not really a negotiation anymore… we as players don’t want to have a strike, we want to have a season. I love playing basketball. But there are things that needed to be handled.”

Former WNPA vice president Kelsey Plum also sounded off on the strike option, mentioning that the players want to play. Fans will be happy to see a positive attitude from the PA and will be looking forward to the season starting on May 8.

After a heroic performance against Chelsea Gray and co., the Breeze BC was up against second-placed Mist BC. Breanna Stewart’s team had a day’s rest before the game while the young Breeze BC played back-to-back games, and its effects were clear on the court.
In the game, PB finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists, while Dominique Malonga put up a monstrous 18 points, 14 rebounds, and two blocks. But the experienced Mist team coped with the younger challengers, claiming the 73-69 win in the end.

Arike Ogunbowale hit the game-winner, while Breanna Stewart led the side with 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and four blocks. Ogunbowale scored 21 points, netting five three-pointers in the game, which included the game-winner. Mist BC will now face Phantom BC in the final.
