Paige Bueckers has emerged as one of the biggest stars this season. Despite being in her first year in the league, the 23-year-old showed no jitters. With a lot of problems plaguing the Dallas Wings this season, the rookie star has been the silver lining. Putting up some impressive performances throughout the season, Bueckers broke the Wings’ scoring record in a loss to the Valkyries. Thus, after such a sensational season, it was only fitting that the Wings’ star ended her season with a LeBron James special.
The Dallas Wings faced off against the Phoenix Mercury in their last game of the regular season. Ending the season on a high, the Dallas-based outfit dominated the game and won with the score reading 97-76. But the spotlight was stolen by none other than Bueckers as she imitated the NBA legend, James.
Paige Bueckers Ended Her Season With A LeBron James Shrug Flex
Bueckers was one of the main reasons for the Wings ending the season with a win. Playing for thirty minutes, she dropped 24 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. However, there cannot be a Bueckers’ dominance without a little showmanship. During a point in the game, the 23-year-old star picked up a ball and dribbled past the defenders. While she put her marker on the wrong foot, the Wings’ star had an easy layup.

Elated by her own play, Bueckers immediately channelled her inner LeBron James. While celebrating the point, the Rookie of the Year frontrunner did the signature flexing shrugs of James. And soon the moment became viral and made its way onto social media.

Surely, Bueckers’ dominance this year has been unreal. On many occasions, the rookie star has drawn level with Caitlin Clark’s records from last year. Speaking about her accomplishments, the Wings’ star has the third-highest assist total by a rookie. Her 44-point outburst is tied for the 10th most points scored by an individual in a single game. Owing to her consistent performance, Bueckers won the Rookie of the Month for August. Even Lynx’s coach, Cheryl Reeve, has been appreciative of the rising star’s play.

Cheryl Reeve Heaps Praise On Paige Bueckers
The Minnesota Lynx took on the Dallas Wings earlier this month. And while the Lynx stormed to a 96-71 victory, Bueckers’ efforts shone bright amidst the ruins. Putting on a valiant show, the 23-year-old dropped 17 points, coupled with two assists and a rebound. And looking at her brave performance, Lynx’s head coach, Cheryl Reeve, could not help but heap praise on her.

“Point guard, I mean, she plays mostly off-ball, and they sort of figured that out with Paige. There are times when she initiates, but they really use her more off-ball. They’ve really navigated her best spaces well. Clearly, she likes to post up,” said Reeve.
Surely, things are looking quite rosy for Bueckers at the moment. With the upcoming season coming up, fans can surely expect more fireworks from the star.
