Without Caitlin Clark, her team failed to make the most of the WNBA All-Star game. With Team Collier winning the game 151-131, there was one thing that had the hoops fans talking. The innovative four-point shot idea made Collier’s squad hit a whopping 104 shots in the entirety of the game. And quite expectedly, most of them were from the four-point circle. With widespread outrage surfacing, Paige Bueckers had a hilarious reaction to the entire episode.
Dallas Wings’ star Bueckers got her initial basketball lessons from Geno Auriemma. And while the UConn Huskies’ coach made her learn the skill, a four point attempt is not something that Auriemma advised her to do!
Paige Bueckers Makes Hilarious Impersonation Of Geno Auriemma
Bueckers came into the All-Star game with a lot of hype. Unfortunately, after having a game time of 22 minutes, Bueckers could only rake up 6 points. And adding to her woes further, she contributed with only 6 shot attempts. Now, as Bueckers would surely go back to the drawing board to finetune her craft, she is not missing out on some innocent fun. When asked about what her ex-coach, Geno Auriemma, would comment about the four-point rule, Bueckers had everyone cracking up.
“Just completely awful. Disturbing demonstration of basketball on both ends of the floor,” Bueckers said. (via Emily Adams of Hartford Courant)

Now, Bueckers might have made the comment on a lighter note. But the four-point adaptation left a lot of room for criticisms to creep in. During the game, most players from either team tried to just stand up and attempt the four-pointers. This made the game somewhat less entertaining than the usual high-octane, end-to-end action.
The game lacked deep shooting, with a significant lack of defensive play from the athletes. Things went so downhill that ESPN analyst and WNBA legend Rebecca Lobo, too, had some harsh words to mince. Meanwhile, playing the All-Star game for the first time, Paige Bueckers could not help but share her excitement.
