A flicker of light at the end of the tunnel is finally visible after eighteen long months. As the CBA deal hangs in the balance, there has been some recent urgency on the part of the league. According to the latest updates, Cathy Engelbert and co. have issued a March 10 deadline to sort things out. Now, while this is certainly welcome news, the players’ union is still unconvinced.
That’s because the revenue-sharing numbers still remain highly debatable. Recently, the players’ union proposed a 27.5% share. Unfortunately, the authorities did not budge and stayed put at 15%. However, despite a lot of variables still waiting to get sorted, Paige Bueckers is confident that a season is definitely going to happen.

Paige Bueckers Has A Positive Feeling For The 2026 WNBA Season
The Dallas Wings star is busy with her Unrivaled duty at the moment. While she is dropping some impressive numbers, the 23-year-old would want to lead Breeze BC to a championship. But even amidst all these, she is not forgetting her WNBA assignment.
In a recent off-court stint, the 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year joined hands with ELLE for a new campaign, ‘Explore Your Story.’ Speaking exclusively to the luxury brand, Bueckers was asked about the uncertainties that clouded the 2026 season.
“Yes, there’ll be a season. We’re going to figure it out. I think everybody wants to capitalize on the momentum right now, so I think we’re going to figure it out. We’ll have a season,” said Bueckers.

Surely, these words coming from one of the top stars will comfort the worried fans a lot. Meanwhile, as the last-minute CBA back-and-forth is underway, the Dallas Wings’ star has found growth in Unrivaled.
Paige Bueckers Details How Unrivaled Helped Her Game

Bueckers has already admitted that Unrivaled presents a far more physical game than the WNBA. Yet, she seems to be enjoying every bit of it till now. And in her recent interaction with ELLE, the Wings’ star spilled the beans on how the 3-on-3 league has helped her grow.
“It’s been really great just to be able to have a league in the off-season where you can continue to get better, continue to compete against the best, build new relationships, and all be in one area, just learning so much from each other and growing in our friendships, too,” Bueckers said.

She further added, “That’s been fun. Obviously, the basketball part is amazing. It’s a different format than five-on-five, just three-on-three, and so it provides us with a different way of improving our game and gives the fans a different experience watching. It’s been really competitive. We’ve grown a lot.”
Well, having found success in both the WNBA and Unrivaled, Bueckers knows that she is at the top of her game. The only thing the 23-year-old wants to focus on now is to follow up her last WNBA season with an even better one this time.
