Paige Bueckers has established herself as a team player since high school. Her ‘cool’ attitude and caring nature make her likable athlete on the team. NBA legend Dwayne Wade even said that he wants to be friend with Bueckers, praising her for her gameplay and on court attitude.
While the three-time NBA player’s praises are making the news, the Wings’ guard just showed why she is a more adored teammate, showing love for her former UConn teammate, Nika Muhl.
Paige Bueckers Applauds Nika Muhl’s Return To Action
Nika Muhl returned to action after 355 days following an ACL injury suffered in 2024. She played in 16 games only during her debut season, while she missed the entire 2025 season. She signed up for Sopron Basket in EuroBasket during her recovery phase and is now making her return with the Hungarian side.

When the video of Muhl playing on the court surfaced, PB was the first one to share it on social media and showed excitement about her nickname on the team.
“The Cookie Monster is backkkkkk,” Bueckers wrote on her Instagram story.
Bueckers and Muhl played for four seasons together before the Croatian star joined the Seattle Storm in 2024. After the guard suffered an injury the Storm put her in the Suspended Players list allowing them an extra spot on the roster for the 2025 season.

When Muhl got injured, PB also shared an heartfelt post and wrote, “Nothing my twin can’t overcome. Gonna destroy this comeback journey! God speed.”
Now that Muhl is back in action, she might face the 2025 rookie in the upcoming WNBA season. PB, though, will be involved in a 3-on-3 league next.
Paige Bueckers Heads The Unrivaled Season Two Lineup
On her professional front, PB will be back on the court in January, playing in the Unrivaled competition. Unrivaled Expands 2026 Roster with three young WNBA All-Stars, including Bueckers. The league has already announced 18 names so far, with 11 returning players and seven new faces joining the league.
Other names for the professional women’s 3-on-3 basketball league include Kiki Iriafen, Monique Billings, Veronica Burton, Saniya Rivers, Erica Wheeler, and Sonia Citron.
While Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron played in the All-Star game along with Bueckers; Burton, Wheeler, and Billings shone in the 2025 season impacting the team results.
