The Dallas Wings side will be happy to see their rookie enjoying the Unrivaled season and having success with her 3-on-3 team. Her performance also gives them a blueprint for forming a team for the upcoming season, adding ‘required players’ from free agency and the WNBA draft.
But PB’s performances raised one concern: WNBA fans were divided over Bueckers’ dominant Unrivaled night after comparisons to Caitlin Clark. With the possibility of both stars representing Team USA in a few months, this comparison or rivalry would impact the team’s overall performance. But the Wings’ player has the answer.

Paige Bueckers Talks About ‘Hate’ Relationship With Caitlin Clark
Playing at the highest level and in the same position, both young stars faced comparisons from the moment they entered high school. Even in their college careers, Iowa vs UConn became a Clark vs. Bueckers matchup, with huge fan bases supporting both talented guards. So when Kylie Kelce asked about her feelings playing alongside CC. Considering the chances of playing together at the international level, PB expressed excitement.
Bueckers said, “Me and Caitlin played together at the junior Olympic level when were young girls. It was always a fun time. We all really played well together. I still feel like we were the best U16 or U17 team ever existed.”

“It’s crazy, because everyone is pinning me and Caitlin against each other for the longest time. We are cool, like we are friends, but again it’s in respect to the competition. So we understand that. At the same time, to have two fanbases that really hate each other have to come together for a couple of months, so it will be really fun,” She added.

Earlier, Bueckers crushed the hater narrative with her comment on CC’s team USA photo. Incidentally, it’s not only PB and CC playing in Team USA who are young, talented, and of the same class, but there are two other mega stars who could be part of the mix.
Paige Bueckers Shows Love For Class Of 2020
While the backcourt duo of 2024 and 2025 first overall picks remains the highlight of Team USA’s future, the training camp also has two strong forwards from the same class – Angel Reese and Cameron Brink. One defensively strong and the other rebound queen of the league could also get a chance to play for the country soon.
Bueckers was excited for her fellow classmates as she gave them a huge shoutout during training camp. She said, “I mean, you guys know about the nickname. We coined ourselves young and turnt class, but really we’re just, we play with the chip on our shoulder. I feel like we have that edge to us. We’re really competitive, highly competitive, and we all just want to win and represent ourselves, our teams, our communities, in the right way, our country, the right way.”
