The Dallas Wings might have the second-worst record in the WNBA 2025 season, but the team will be happy for their rookie, Paige Bueckers. The player earned an All-Star selection, and her incredible season remained one of the franchise’s highlights.
She broke multiple franchise records in her first season. Her mesmerizing offensive performance also broke league records. Astonishingly, PB is just one step away from a rare rookie feat after just 21 games into the season.
Paige Bueckers One Step Away From WNBA Rookie Record
After 20 games, the star averages nearly 16 points and four assists per game. After a slow start, she had multiple games with 20+ points and 7+ assists, putting her average well above the rest of the rookie class.
Also, during that run, she had 10 games with 15+ points and 5+ assists. This is the second-most as a rookie in the ‘W’. Caitlin Clark holds the record for the most 15+ point and 5+ assist games played in her first season in the league.

Even with her individual excellence, the star is struggling to put her team in the top eight at the moment. With nearly 20 games left in the season, the team is five games behind the eighth-seed Las Vegas Aces.
Also, they are trailing 2-0 in the season series against the LV team. This puts them in a tight position to qualify for the playoffs. They will face the 2023 champs next at home.
