Like there was no stopping Paige Bueckers in the 2025 season, there is no shortage of accolades for the Wigs guard. The 22-year-old player’s offensive game was the highlight of the Dallas Wings’ season as Bueckers won the 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year award. So, she had a sure place in the rookie team.
Along with PB, her Rookie of the Year competitors, Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen, also received the All-Rookie team honor.
Paige Bueckers And Sonia Citron Creates History With All WNBA Rookie Team Selections
The Dallas Wings’ top pick continued the tradition of the first overall picks’ selection in the All-WNBA Rookie Team in the last 15 years. Only Sabrina Ioenscu missed the honor after injury forced her out for her first professional season.

Along with the UConn star, other players in the All-WNBA Rookie team are the Washington Mystics’ duo Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen; the Seattle Storm forward Dominique Malonga, and the Golden State Valkyries star Janelle Salaun. With this, the 2025 rookies also set one more incredible record – featuring all top four picks in the All-Rookie team.
This happened just the seventh time in the league when all top-four picks make the All-WNBA rookie team, and the first time since 2014. Iriafen, Citron, and Bueckers also made similar history with All-Star selection earlier in the season.

Paige Bueckers matched Caitlin Clark’s multiple stats in the season and even set a record with 44 points in one game. The star needed strong support in the season to make it to the playoffs, and next year could be that season.
Dallas Wings Can Have Another Rookie Of The Year Contender Besides Paige Bueckers In 2026
With a 10-34 record, the Wings finished 13th in the 2025 league standings despite PB’s incredible season. Although this was a massive letdown for the few fans, many see this as an opportunity to add another potential superstar to the lineup via the WNBA draft.
The 2026 draft will feature players like Azzi Fudd, Lauren Betts, Olivia Miles, and Falu’jae Johnson, all capable of making a significant impact in games. Fudd even played with Bueckers on the UConn side and won the 2025 NCAA championship.
Although there are chances of Wings landing in the top three for the WNBA draft, it will be interesting to watch Wings’ selection for a stronger team and brighter future around Bueckers.
