It was a great WNBA season when the Las Vegas Aces clinched the championship trophy, but everything after that still very much remains in limbo.
Soon after, Unrivaled brought the player competition and made them compete for yet another glory. However, after having a rookie season, Paige Bueckers had a heartfelt message to her new fanbase. The Dallas Wings rookie recently shared her admiration for NBA superstar Stephen Curry’s historic Olympic performance.

Paige Bueckers Is All Praise For Stephen Curry’s Olympic Run
The Wings star is having a relatively busy schedule. As the Unrivaled is over, Bueckers called out the halted CBA negotiation that has kept the players agitated over a definite outcome.
However, despite all that is not clear, she reflected on one of basketball’s most memorable international performances, praising Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry for his electrifying run during Team USA’s gold-medal campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Speaking about the tournament, Bueckers described watching Curry dominate on the Olympic stage as an unforgettable experience for basketball fans everywhere.
As per basketball reporter Geoff Magliocchetti, watching Steph Curry “go crazy” at the Olympics was like “a heavenly” basketball experience for Bueckers said.

She was right, though. Curry played a pivotal role in helping Team USA capture the gold medal, finishing the tournament undefeated and defeating France 98-87 in the final.
While the Americans featured a roster full of elite talent, Curry’s late-tournament heroics stood out as some of the most memorable moments of the Games. He finished the championship game with 24 points and eight made three-pointers, punctuating the night with his now-iconic “night-night” celebration as Team USA sealed the victory.
That said, Bueckers herself is part of the next generation of American basketball stars. The 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year recently joined Team USA’s senior national team setup and is preparing to compete in the upcoming FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup qualifiers in Puerto Rico.
Paige Bueckers Gets Honest About Team USA Debut
After praising the NBA superstar, Paige Bueckers is about to check off another milestone in her fast-rising basketball career. The 2025 WNBA Rookie of the Year is preparing to make her senior debut for Team USA at the upcoming FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup qualifying tournament.

For Bueckers, wearing the national team jersey represents something far greater than simply another game.
“It’s an honor,” Bueckers said during Team USA training camp in Miami. “Every time I step on the court, I feel like I’m representing something bigger than myself. To have USA across your chest is special.”

The opportunity arrives less than a year after Bueckers began her professional career in the WNBA. Selected No. 1 overall in the 2025 draft by the Dallas Wings, she quickly proved why she was one of the most anticipated prospects in recent years.
Despite Dallas finishing at the bottom of the standings, she delivered an outstanding rookie campaign. Her strong first season accelerated her path to the senior national team, though international basketball itself is not unfamiliar territory for the former UConn star.
