Paige Bueckers has been phenomenal this season. Coming to a big stage such as the WNBA for the first time this year, the 23-year-old owned the league like a boss. Emerging as one of the best players, the Dallas Wings star clinched the 2025 Rookie of the Year award. And that was not all. Bueckers’ stellar season earned her the top spot in the 2025 WNBA All-Rookie team. And now, as she prepares for yet another phenomenal season next year, the Wings’ star is taking some time off.
In a recent turn of events, Bueckers could be spotted enjoying some NBA action. And guess which team she was supporting? Well, it was none other than the Dallas Mavericks.
Paige Bueckers Gets A Massive Applause At The Dallas Mavericks Game
Playing for the Dallas Wings, Bueckers had a tough time this year. With her team faltering, the onus was on her to bail her squad out of agony. And while she did succeed individually, as a whole, the Wings looked quite fragile. Now, with the new season coming up, Bueckers and the Wings would want to put behind the demons of the past and march on. However, before that, Bueckers made sure to enjoy her free time supporting the likes of Cooper Flagg and company.

The Dallas Mavericks recently faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder. And much to Bueckers’ surprise, the Mavericks managed to beat the Thunder 106-89 in the NBA preseason. Meanwhile, as the Dallas-based side made merry, the cameras caught Bueckers in Mavericks’ colors.

And immediately, the entire stadium broke out in applause as they caught a glimpse of the Wings superstar. While she smiled at the camera, her title of 2025 Rookie of the Year flashed beneath her name on the Jumbotron. However, this was not the only time the 2025 Rookie of the Year has been spotted cheering for other teams. Recently, Bueckers was spotted at a game between Colorado and TCU. Meanwhile, as preparations for the next season are on the way, the Dallas GM is putting a lot of faith in the 23-year-old.

Curt Miller Wants To Build His Team Around Paige Bueckers
Paige Bueckers turned out to be a prized buy for Miller and the Wings. While the Wings ended the season with a dismal 10-34 record, the only silver lining amidst the darkness was Bueckers. After clinching the Rookie of the Year award, Miller seemed overjoyed and heaped praises on the rookie star. And now, with the rebuilding phase coming up, the Dallas GM looks utterly confident about building a champion team pivoting around Bueckers.

“I struggled early in my career to rip the Band-Aid off when there wasn’t a perfect fit or maybe there was a move that was a little bit scary to make. Sometimes failing fast is beneficial,” Miller said. “Bring other great players to play with her [Paige Bueckers], alongside her, and build this Dallas team into what we ultimately hope is a championship.”
Surely, things are looking extremely upbeat for the Dallas Wings star. Now, as the team has put a lot of faith in her, it is up to the rookie star to decide how she chooses to repay them.
