The UConn star was one of the most awaited entrants in the WNBA. Her gameplay and stardom brought in new glitz for the league. While many rookies look to stay humble and obedient in front of their seniors or veterans, PB was different. Known for her playful nature and humor, the 2025 first overall pick quickly became a hit with the vets, too.
With her first All-Star selection, the Wings guard got a chance to play with the league’s biggest names. But instead of shying away or keeping distance from the champs and MVPs, she went straight to them, learning from the multiple award winners and sharing fun moments.
After the All-Star game, the star guard shared pictures with the players and tagged them with hilarious names. She shared a picture with Sparks guard Kelsey Plum and tagged her “Too Little.” Interestingly, the Wings guard already tried to mess with the LA star. While sharing a picture with Alyssa Thomas, she wrote “gramps,” as in grandparents.
She showed some respect to the league’s current leading scorer and former UConn star, Napheesa Collier, by sharing a photo with her and tagging her “Youngin. “”Youngin is typically a shortened and informal way of saying “young one.” This came shortly after the star rookie took a jibe at her former coach, Geno Auriemma, during a fun interview.

Paige Bueckers Shining During WNBA All-Star Game
The Dallas superstar was one of the top vote-getters and a starter in the 2025 WNBA All-Star game. She was picked 10th by Team Collier during the draft. In the game, she played for 22 minutes, most for her side, and had eight assists. She opened her scoring account with a four-point play and finished the game with six points.
Contributing to the team’s 151-131 win over Team Clark, the rookie showed great composure and maturity, handing her teammates Collier and Skylar Diggins, who set some records in the All-Star game.
In the regular season, the star is the rookie’s leading scorer, averaging 18.4 points per game. She is also leading the 2025 rookie class with 5.5 assists per game. The reigning NCAA Champion is a strong candidate for the Rookie of the Year award.
