The UConn Huskies started off their title defense with a commanding win over the Louisville side. Apart from their flawless game, one person who stole the spotlight was the Wings’ guard Paige Bueckers.
Former UConn star was in the stands and even came down close to the court to support her team. Bueckers describes a “surreal feeling” after attending a UConn Huskies game. While fans loved the reunion, the admin teased the star with a social media post.
Paige Bueckers’ Savage Reply To UConn Huskies’ ‘X’ Post
Throughout her career, the Wings’ guard has never let her opponent get over her. She hit back and won both on and off the court. So when the UConn Huskies’ social media admin tried to take a funny jab at its former player, the All-American didn’t let that go.

The UConn official account’s post reads, “like how did you get our warmup top, you don’t even go here.” But Paige, being Paige, gave it back to the jab and wrote, “Run it back, year 6!”

Geno Auriemma Hails Jose Fernandez Hire As A Perfect Fit For Paige Bueckers
The Dallas Wings announced Jose Fernandez as the new head coach for the 026 season. While some WNBA fans were confused by the decision, former South Florida has a lot of fans. One of them is Geno Auriemma.
“I think Jose Fernandez is a great hire by the Dallas Wings. I’ve always had the utmost respect for Jose as a teacher and an innovator. He’s a guy who thinks outside the box, whether that’s recruiting internationally or playing a style of basketball that’s unique. As a person, I think he’s terrific at communicating with his players. He’s a relationship guy. I think he’ll bring tremendous energy, stability, and innovation to that organization,” said Auriemma.
