After the success in Philadelphia, the Unrivalled League is looking to expand its wings in other major cities and has also planned semifinals in Brooklyn. Home court for Breanna Stewart, the Liberty forward, showed trust in local fans and projected the sold-out arenas despite the late announcements. Paige Bueckers is also looking forward to a similar atmosphere.
The Xfinity Mobile arena provided many memorable games, with players also delivering the top performances in the Unrivalled league season 2, which included Marina Mabrey’s record-setting night. Talking about the semifinals in Brooklyn, the Wings’ guard is excited for similar nights.

Paige Bueckers Manifests Sold-Out Arena In Brooklyn
The Barclays Center had been the WNBA’s premium arena, with the New York Liberty hosting games in the stadium. The Unrivaled is also looking to make a splash among the fans with bigger arenas and bigger cities to attract more fans.
When asked about the semifinal matchup preparations, Bueckers said, “If it’s anything like Philly, it’ll be a lifetime experience… This is what we want for women’s basketball, to play in front of sold-out crowds, It’ll be a lot of fun.”

The Philadelphia event brought huge success for the Unrivaled league, highlighting its popularity and encouraging the league to go for expansion in the near future. In the final, PB will be up against the Liberty’s superstar player on her home court, which will make the game even more interesting.

Breanna Stewart Crushes Paige Bueckers’ Championship Dream
During the 1-on-1 competition, Bueckers was among the favorites to lift the title. Sadly, Chelsea Gray defeated her in the quarterfinal and went on to win the title too. In the playoff game, PB got perfect revenge, defeating the Gray and her 2025 championship team to advance to the semifinals.

Playing in front of a Barclays Center crowd against Breanna Stewart was always gonna be difficult, as the forward dominated the game with a game-high 23 points and four blocks to go with five assists and seven rebounds. The Mist BC won the game 73-69 and now will play against the Phantom BC side.
