With the WNBA season now under wraps, the Dallas Wings are already preparing for the future. As per reports, Sandy Brondello emerges as the top candidate for the head coach position at the franchise. While the front office is on the task, star player Paige Bueckers made appearances at various events.
Recently, she attended the football game to show her support for the Texas team. The video went viral as the player cheered for the Longhorns alongside 92,000 home fans. Her special gesture, however, caught the eye of NBA superstar Kevin Durant, who gave a shoutout to the Wings’ rookie.

The 22-year-old celebrity is not a typical fan because her infectious energy and people-person nature bring a powerful presence to the room. She was at the Red River Rivalry game between the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners. So, the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year decided to continue the tradition as cameras spotted Paige Bueckers giving the horns up gesture.

In addition, she was in the middle of the Oklahoma and Texas supporters, so it was an even more theatrical gesture for the home team. This was noticed by NBA legend Kevin Durant, who later posted the image on his Instagram story.

Interestingly, KD used to play for the University of Texas at Austin and therefore knows the significance of the Red River Rivalry. Furthermore, both basketball icons are presently in Texas, with PB playing for the Dallas Wings while the two-time NBA champion is playing for the Houston Rockets.
