The situation with the WNBA is not at all looking bright at the moment. For almost a year now, the calls for equal pay have echoed across the league. Unfortunately, despite all the callouts for a raise in pay and better revenue sharing, things have refused to change for the athletes.
Reflecting on the same, the likes of Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark recently opened up on the urgency. Now, up until now, the WNBA has come up with a couple of contracts.
But both of them have been rejected by the WNBPA. And as the players find themselves in a crunch at the moment, Paige Bueckers has come up with a strong message.

Paige Bueckers Has Called For Solidarity Among The WNBA Players
Most of the athletes have expressed anger at the WNBA’s latest proposals. They have slammed the league’s CBA proposal and have also termed it as offensive. Thus, in such a situation, Bueckers pointed out how standing together might help in solving the problem in the long run.
“I think unity is the best way to display strength,” Bueckers said. “So for us all to be together, all be on the same page, ask each other questions, get to understand what we’re standing for and the people before us who have paved the way, and what we want the next generation to have … to have those conversations [is important].”

Now then, Bueckers might have a pretty valid point here. If all the players come in with some strong solidarity, the league might be bound to give the players what they want. And much like Buecker’s words, Clark and Reese, too, commented on the same line.
Caitlin Clark And Angel Reese Speaks On The Same Line As Paige Bueckers
The trio of Bueckers, Clark, and Reese looks to be taking matters in their own hands. As the CBA negotiations are hitting a dead end now, the duo of Reese and Clark recently clarified what exactly their stance was.

“Everybody’s very intentional about what we want. We’re riding together on everything. So, I’m preparing for a season like everybody else, but it’s really important for us to come to a common ground that we can all agree on. It’s all fair, and everybody benefits from it,” Reese said.

Clark chimed in, “That’s what our fans crave — the product on the floor. That’s what the fans want to show up for. So, it’s business, and it’s a negotiation, and there has to be compromise on both sides. And we’re starting to get down to the wire of it.”
Surely, with things looking a bit upbeat, fans would be eager to find out what comes next.
