Caitlin Clark had been working on her rehab and also staying connected with her fans and family during the offseason. Though she wishes to see the start of the season on time, the current slow progress of the CBA discussion raises questions over the same.
Clark’s prophetic warning hits hard as the WNBA faces total meltdown risk with the players’ association not budging from their demands. But as per WNBA analyst Rachel DeMita, the situation might have been different if the 2024 rookie had signed with the Klutch Sports agency.

Rachel DeMita Claims Klutch Sports-Caitlin Clark Collab Would Work Wonders
The players’ association will have its face-to-face meeting with the WNBA regarding the CBA on Monday. While there is little hope of seeing a positive end to the discussion, everyone is expecting a fierce meeting between the two sides, considering the number of days left for the new season to start.
Talking on the topic, analyst Rachel DeMita had another theory. She pleaded with Clark to sign with Klutch Sports agency and said, “They (Klutch Sports Group) have a lot of power in the NBA space. If Caitlin Clark was signed to Klutch, I feel like this CBA would have been done by now.”

She supported her speculation with the popularity of Clark and the power of Klutch Sports putting pressure on the league to complete the deal.

While Rachel DeMita spoke about her Nike deal and speculated about the CBA discussions, there is one more CC fan who also slammed Nike’s contract with the Fever guard.
Dave Portnoy Slams Caitlin Clark’s ‘Dummest’ Nike Contract
The Barstool owner has been a fan of the star since her Iowa day. He even openly said that he doesn’t like Angel Reese, just because she was CC’s arch-rival. He even slammed the Nike deal with the star player, calling it the dimmest contract.
On his Courtside Club podcast appearance, he said, “I wish I was her agent. Like, she got screwed. And she did. If you look back at it, the power of her, and when her shoe comes out, we’ll see what the sales are. They’re paying Devin Booker $40 million a year… In what universe is Devin Booker worth $40 million per year, and Caitlin is worth $8 [million]?”
While the player is one of the top faces with Nike, she’s yet to receive her signature shoe line. But Clark’s recent visit to Nike headquarters created a lot of buzz, with the player also hinting at the launch of her shoe line in the 2026 season.
