The WNBA-WNBPA CBA talks produced many possibilities, with the majority of analysts and critics predicting a delay in the season start, while very few predicted the league might have tossed out the 2026 season. Rachel DeMita, though, brought a unique perspective to the talks, emphasizing the need for agents’ involvement in the discussion.
She was referring to Caitlin Clark’s agency and even posed a hypothetical, noting that Klutch Sports would have completed the deal by now. Ironically, Clark fans blast Rachel DeMita for bold Klutch Sports tied CBA theory.
But the current situation is turning out to be exactly what the analyst predicted, and she had a perfect response for the critics.

Rachel DeMita With Fitting Response To WNBA Player Agents Involving In CBA Talks
The former courtside reporter turned podcaster was one of the top streamers for WNBA news and analysis. But when she proposed the idea of player agents to seek clarity on the CBA, many found the theory laughable.
Yet now, as per the current update, the WNBPA will be conducting a survey for. The players’ agents will help the PA in the same way, speeding up the process and providing a clear understanding of the TCBA topic. On the news, DeMita posted, “oh okay righttttt but when I said this would happen I was the crazy one lol.”

WNBA Defends March 10 Deadline Date
The WNBA is defending its March 10, 2026, deadline as the critical “drop-dead date” required to finalize a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and ensure the 2026 season begins on time. League officials informed the players’ union that missing this target would cause significant disruptions to the league calendar.
The date is carefully calculated based on their time for completing the paperwork, one week for the Expansion draft, and two weeks for free agency signings, before the Team can start their training camps on April 25 onwards.
While the ENBA draft date and WNBA 2026 season dates are fixed, the league is looking to maintain those two dates for a smooth sailing season ahead.
