The NBA All-Star game had all the ingredients, making the event a hit among fans. Superstars from the league and a changed game format create suspense and a high-quality game. Yet the commentators had to go to Unrivaled league to get inspiration from, and the most exciting tournament they felt was the one-on-one tournament. All eyes were on Paige Bueckers’ games in the tournament after her impressive season.
Bueckers was one of the top contenders for the $200K prize but couldn’t reach the semifinals of the competition, losing on $25,000 prize money too. While the loss was shocking to many, PB’s reaction was rather more shocking and became talk of the town.

Reggie Miller Comments On Paige Buecker’ Angry Exit
The NBA All-Star game’s main event brought out many celebrities from LA to the Intuit Arena. Ahead of the game, the NBA star Jaylen Brown requested a one-on-one tournament in the All-Star format as he felt that it brings out the best skills in players.
During the All-Star broadcast, Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller had a similar concept as they discussed Unrivaled’s success with its midseason tournament. “Can we give it up to Unrivaled and the ladies? That is a true one-on-one competition, and I applaud them for going at it. They’ve got the biggest stars facing each other,” Crawford said. Miller then replied, “You see how mad Paige was?”

Miller’s five-word reaction said it all, as the Wings’ guard received huge backlash from fans for her actions. The former UConn star was upset with the referee’s decision that went against her on the final possession, handing Gray a chance to close out the game 11-2. She shook hands with the Aces guard and stormed out of the arena without acknowledging the referees.

While Reggie Miller faced criticism from many critics and fans for his comparisons between Caitlin Clark and Payton Pritchard early in the month, he was spot on with his comment on PB. As for the player, it’s not only her on-court drama that made the news; she is facing another issue off the court, too.
Paige Bueckers’ Agent Selling His Firm
Casey Wasserman, the CEO of the talent agency that represents many sports and entertainment stars like Bueckers, Breanna Stewart and Klay Thompson, is selling his firm following the public release of “sexually charged” emails between him and Ghislaine Maxwell. The alleged sex trafficker is an associate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Wasserman already made his feelings public about the ‘mistake’ he committed in the past and didn’t want that to impact his clients. For Paige Bueckers, Lindsay Kagawa Colas is representative from the firm, and as of now, there is no public indication that the 2025 rookie is leaving the agency, though the firm is facing significant upheaval.
