Caitlin Clark’s NBC debut was a mega hit with many fans, and her teammates praised the playmaker for her poise and answers. But one of the viral incidents during the broadcast was Reggie Miller comparing the Fever guard with Payton Pritchard.
Many WNBA and NBA players like Candace Parker, Carmelo Anthony, and Paul Pierce criticized the Pacers’ star for the comparison, and most of them had Stephen Curry as the perfect comparison for the 2024 rookie.

Key difference in the comparison for many analysts and former players was the impact, shooting ability and roles in the franchise. While Miller agreed that the former Iowa star and Celtics player are different on those grounds, he pointed out similarities that led him to comparisons.
“He’s (Pritchard) probably a better scorer, once you get into the paint. But I was talking about, taking that back step to left for the deep 3; throw the ball ahead, get it back; get assists. The only thing that she has in common with Steph is that they both shoot deep. Steph plays off the ball now,” Miller said on the Dan Patrick show.
