The WNBA-WNBPA are working closely to finalize the CBA terms ahead of the 2026 season. The league set March 10 as the deadline and is looking to follow the remaining offseason schedule well in time, including the expansion draft and WNBA draft. As for the new player’s entry, there is a new name coming on the board: Maggie Doogan from the Richmond Spiders program.
While fans are looking for the Dallas Wings’ first overall pick and how Azzi Fudd would fit in the system alongside Paige Bueckers, the Richmond side could make history with Doogan’s selection.

Richmond Forward Can Be Exciting Addition To WNBA
The A-10 Conference drew attention with Richmond’s star making a buzz in the basketball world. The 22-year-old is leading the team in scoring, rebounds, and blocks, putting them in third position in the conference. As per a USA Today report, her recent 26-point outing had three of the WNBA representatives in the stands, and her efficient 10-of-14 shooting must have impressed them the most.
While she is only the third player from the program to record 2000+ career points, Richmond coach Aaron Roussell is excited to talk about his star forward. “People don’t realize, like, this was done in four years, right? This is not 2,000 points over five years. It was just calm. She made the right decisions, and it helps when you’re making shots.”
