The New York Liberty season ended disappointingly with a loss in the first round against the Lynx. While players are preparing their games for the next season and competing in different leagues, Sabrina Ionescu is taking time off the court.
However, she has yet to make a meaningful impact on women’s sport, as Ionescu joins Bay FC NWSL as an advisor and investor.
While she will be busy working with the soccer players, the star couldn’t resist defending her signature shoe, Sabrina 3, as she came across one complaint from a fan on social media.
Sabrina Ionescu Defends Her Signature Shoe
The 26-year-old tops the kicks sales list with just three variants so far with the Nike. The sneaker giants released Sabrina 1 in 2023, then Sabrin 2 in 2024, and followed them up with Sabrin 3 in July 2025. Every colorway and edition received a huge response from the fans and sneakerheads.

But the star came across a complaint from a fan who called the Sabrina 3 the worst ever. Ionescu quickly responded to the post and said, “Looks like user error.”

But it’s not just about her one particular variant. The player spoke about her shoe line legacy in an interview.
