The battle at the top of the table is getting quite interesting at the moment. With the Minnesota Lynx looking to run away with the title, the New York Liberty is not letting it happen. With 18 wins and 10 losses, Liberty is following the Lynx on their heels. And recording yet another victory, the Liberty threw a strong challenge to the Lynx. And the centrepiece of the same was Sabrina Ionescu.
Now, Minnesota might have obliterated the Aces by 53 points. But playing against the Connecticut Sun, the Liberty, too, had their story to tell. With Ionescu dropping a milestone game, the Liberty could not be happier.

Liberty registered a dominant 87-78 victory against the Connecticut Sun. This marked an end to their four-game losing streak. A record that the Liberty did not have in the past three years. Now, while this was enough good news, fans’ joy was doubled via Sabrina Ionescu.
Playing in her dominant form, Ionescu dropped 36 points on the night. She also led the team in the highest points, followed by J. Jones with 21. As per the statistics provided by ‘Polymarket Hoops,’ this data was calculated post-2003.

Meanwhile, going on a happy hunting spree this season, Ionescu also joined Caitlin Clark and others in an earlier record.
