The Seattle Storm has been one of the most inconsistent teams this year. While they aimed initially towards a possible title run, their performance did not reflect the same. Things were so critical that the Storm almost lost the playoff spot owing to their flawed defense. Thankfully, Seattle was able to qualify as the 7th team in the competition. However, following their first-round loss to the Las Vegas Aces, the Storm fired their entire coaching staff.
Well, the indications were there. While the front office wanted a championship run, the coaching staff was unable to match the criteria. With their latest decision, it is evident that management is looking to revamp the entire roster.

According to recent reports from Forbes’ Roberta F. Rodrigues, the decision to part ways with the coaching staff was final. Taking to her X, formerly known as Twitter, Rodrigues wrote, “Per sources, the whole Seattle Storm coaching staff has been dismissed. The franchise is seeking a complete renewal of the sideline.”

The allegations gained so much traction that a neutral investigating firm was hired to investigate the matter. Meanwhile, soon after the playoff exit, the Storm front office terminated the contract with Noelle Quinn.

“News: Noelle Quinn’s contract will not be renewed for the 2026 season, the Seattle Storm announced. The search for a new coach will begin immediately, the team said,” wrote Alexa Philippou via X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Storm’s head coach was with the team for five long seasons. Unfortunately, despite getting a host of incredibly talented players, Quinn was unable to lift the trophy. And those names included the likes of Breanna Stewart, Skylar Diggins, and more. Moreover, Quinn’s rotations and tactics also came under scrutiny.
