Skip Bayless Thinks Sophie Cunningham Is Riding On Caitlin Clark’s Popularity
The Indiana Fever is a star-studded franchise, and leading the ‘fame’ is, of course, Caitlin Clark, whose injury updates, on-court reactions, and rehab workouts are always in the news. Caitlin Clark even recently released a video unveiling her Nike logo, which further added a new dimension to her coverage.

Along with her, Cunningham comes in second place in terms of fame, with her ‘unfiltered replies’ on podcasts and social media posts. While the player earned her fame during her seven seasons in the league, Skip Bayless thinks otherwise. Also, He claims that Cunningham is using her friendship with the 2024 rookie for more attention.
“Just remember, in her first six years in the WNBA playing for Phoenix, nobody outside of Phoenix knew who she was. Very few. But then, of course, the heavens opened, and she got traded to Caitlyn Clark’s team. By far, it is the biggest stage in the league, thanks to Caitlyn Clark. And did Sophie Cunningham ever start taking advantage of that? She quickly befriended Caitlyn. That was smart. And she assumed the role of Caitlyn’s on-court and in interviews defender and protector, or public defender. Did that ever quickly endear her to Caitlyn’s what billions of fans out there? All those 22 wearing fans,” the 73-year-old analyst said in his podcast.
He added that the 28-year-old star is now enjoying a 100-times brighter spotlight and making grand entrances in arenas. He even commented on her outfits, calling them “pretty provocative and very cool”.

Sophie Cunningham’s Reaction To Caitlin Clark’s Logo Could Get Her A Signature Logo
Recently, Cunningham posted a hilarious reaction to Caitlin Clark’s logo as the Fever guard shared a video of her Nike logo. Her comment included a request for a logo, mentioning that getting a logo for herself is a near-impossible thing. She provided a reference for the logo, posting her picture with a broken tooth as her concept for the logo. Many fans commented on Cunningham’s post and even provided her with logo ideas.
But one important reaction came from Adidas, which commented, “Takes Note.” This could be exciting news for the former Mercury star, who has a contract with the shoe makers and has been featured in a few commercials endorsing Damian Lillard’s signature shoe.
