A season ago, Caitlin Clark made history with 10 assists in an All-Star game. It was a rookie record and one assist short of Sue Bird’s all-time record. In the 2025 edition, the former UConn star saw her record broken at Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena, not by the Fever star but by her Seattle Storm guard, Skylar Diggins.
Coming in as a reserve for Team Colliers, the 34-year-old guard played for 21 minutes into the game. She made 15 assists, helping Team Collier to a 151-131 victory over Team Clark.

Team Collier was in control of the game right from the tip-off. With healthy lead after the first quarter, the team started to share the possession, handing the former Notre Dame player a chance to record the most assists in the WNBA All-Star game.
Interestingly, her defeat in the Skills contest on Friday night ignited competitive fire in her. She narrated her story for the spectacular performance in the All-Star game.
“I was p***** that I got last in the skills challenge. We came out here to have fun, but I wanted to leave here with something. That’s what I said when I got on the bus,” the talented guard told Holly Rowe in a post-game interview. (via YouTube/ESPN)

She mentioned that she had a talented group around her, with Collier also making history for the most points in the WNBA All-Star game. The guard needed to find her niche, so she started racking up the assists.

Other than these two superstars, Team Collier contributed heavily to the massive win over Team Clark. Allisha Gray scored 18 points, while Kelsey Plum and Nneka Ogwumike added 16 points each. But the night belonged to the Storm guard as she made history in the game.
Skylar Diggins Records First Triple-Double In WNBA All-Star Game
The WNBA 2014 MIP scored 11 points and collected 11 rebounds, along with her 15 assists, to record the first triple-double in WNBA All-Star game history. After securing the points-assists double-double, the guard had her eyes set on a possible triple-double in the All-Star game. No one had it before, and it was a great opportunity for the 34-year-old star to make her mark in the game.

Late in the fourth quarter, when a Team Clark player missed a three-pointer, she ran for the rebound. Courtney Williams, closer to it, got the missed shot, denying Diggins a chance for her 10th rebound. Eventually, the veteran guard collected two more rebounds to take her tally to 11 rebounds and complete her triple-double.
