Miami is certainly hosting one of the happening events in basketball with the Unrivaled season 2 gaining attention from the world. While there is fast-paced action and some elite skills on display, the event was paused for a moment for the Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hills. At least for Skylar Diggins, who was a special guest at the event.
There is no doubt that the player took a day off from the Unrivaled action and flew across the country for the Award night. Diggins, who recently had a rough time going through single parenting of two children and a custody battle, such moments certainly cheer up the player.

Skylar Diggins At Golden Globe Event
Early in January, the Seattle Storm guard became the face of Saratoga Spring Water. The firm also earned a place as the official water of the Golden Globe Awards. This allowed the WNBA playmaker to be part of the event as a special invite.
On January 11, the player took a break from her Unrivaled duties to walk the Golden Globes red carpet. The veteran guard was wearing a Versace black sequin dress, featuring a daring one-shoulder design with a high split at the waist and a royal blue train. Pairing the beautiful dress with black heels, the star looked ravishing under the bright lights.
CMO of the brand, Kheri Tillman, spoke about Diggins’ involvement as he said, “Our new campaign with Skylar, and the chapters to come later in the year, reflect Saratoga’s expansion into a broader cultural space. Skylar is extraordinary on and off the court, and an ascendant figure in culture. If you could capture a perfect storm in a bottle – of talent, energy, strength and style – she’s it.”

The player certainly took everyone’s breath away and lived up to the reputation Tillman had pictured. Back on the work front, though, the ferocious player took shots at the WNBA and asked them to learn from the unrivaled league about running the business.
Skylar Diggins Wants WNBA To Follow Unrivaled Model
2025 has been a great season for the veteran guard, as she earned an All-Star call-up for her performance in the league and went on to break Sue Bird’s assist record in the All-Star game, too. Though her side couldn’t make a deep playoff run, Diggins is still one of the top free agents with her abilities and gameplay.
And in the off-season, discussing the ongoing CBA deal, the player provided an example of Unrivaled to take a jab at the WNBA’s efforts.
She said, “It was very inspiring to be a part of the first year and now for it to come back for Year 2, even stronger and bigger, you feel really special. Now is the time where our sport is booming. We’re trying to make the WNBA get on board to the example that Unrivaled is setting.”

Describing the Unrivaled league as ‘for us, by us,’ the player certainly took sides with the 3-on-3 league over the WNBA.
