Even though Caitlin Clark was at the Indiana Colts game, she refused to wear the jacket showing her love for the Kansas City Chiefs, the team she supported from the start. Kylie Kelce praised Clark’s Kansas City Chiefs loyalty after her gesture. But CC is not only Chiefs fan from the Fever franchise. Sophie Cunningham also shows huge support for the former champions on multiple occasions, predominantly on her podcast.
Recently, with a loss against the Chargers, the Kansas City Chiefs are officially out of the playoffs. Moreover, their star player, Patrick Mahomes, suffered an injury in the game and will be out for an extended period. The Fever forward, though, was not sad by the elimination and continued to support her team.

Sophie Cunningham Backs Kansas City Chiefs To Bounce Back
Even with the slow start, the 29-year-old forward was backing the Chiefs to win the title this season. Though she admits she was “pissed” watching the Kansas City Chiefs fall short, her support was always with the side. And now, after the elimination, she gave her true verdict about the team.
“I do think that this is just a year and I think that sometimes you need these years to be re-motivated [light] a fire under your butt,” Sophie said.
“I want us to finish the season with no more injuries. Like, I want other players to go out there and kick ass, and maybe some of them will get an extended contract. Like, there’s so much more positives that can come from the season with opportunities for other players,” added the Fever star, who doesn’t believe the Chiefs’ dynasty is over.

She added that the team had spoiled fans by making the playoffs every season since 2014, and now it was time to make adjustments and support the star players. This is not the first time Sophie Cunningham has been loyal to her team of choice. She even showed up for the Indiana Pacers team in the NBA.

Just like the Chiefs, the Indiana Pacers are struggling in the NBA. The team that played in the finals a season ago is currently far from playoff qualification and doesn’t have its star player, Tyrese Haliburton, for the season.
Yet the Fever forward showed up at the Arena and even shared a frame with Haliburton’s fiancée as she cheered for the Pacers.

In her own professional career, the player is currently a free agent and can sign with any team once the CBA terms are ready. She also joined Project B, a new league that might challenge the WNBA’s dominance in women’s basketball.
