Sophie Cunningham holds nothing back, thrashing the league owners and mentioning that they should sell their teams to the ones who really want to be a part of something great.
In her previous Podcast episode, she also highlighted the owners’ unwillingness to spend on players and giving them a ‘nurturing’ environment. But in her latest episode, she corrected one mistake she thought she had made.

While criticizing the league authorities, she praised a few franchises, which she feels are siding with the players in the CBA battle. They are backing them silently through their actions, according to the former Missouri star.
Talking about the same, Cunningham snubbed the Indiana Fever and praised their rivals like Phoenix, New York and Seattle. But she corrected herself in the recent episode, acknowledging that she had missed out on the Fever. The forward said, “Half our league as owners want to pour in and give, and the other half just don’t. I mentioned last podcast it was New York, Seattle, Phoenix, Indiana. Indy’s building one of the best facilities in the entire world in 2027, practice facilities.”
Cunningham played in just one season with the Indiana team and formed a strong bond with players and even staff. She surprised the Fever staff with a gift during the offseason, too. It’s obvious that she showed love for the franchise that took her fame to another level.
