Following her move to the Indiana Fever, Sophie Cunningham reached new heights of popularity. The forward started a podcast, ‘Show Me Something,’ to talk about games and her views on recent topics. While Skip Bayless claims that Cunningham’s popularity is due to her friendship with Caitlin Clark, the podcast is gaining popularity. In a recent episode, the 28-year-old forward talked about Napheesa Collier.
She talked about her high school days and current gameplay of the Lynx’s forward. The Fever player also talked about the Minnesota Lynx team’s current form.
Sophie Cunningham Praises Napheesa Collier As A Complete Player
The former Missouri player has been associated with basketball for over a decade now, with her seventh season in the WNBA itself. Coming across multiple players, the forward understands the game and praises the players where it is due.

In one of the previous episodes, Cunningham called Caitlin Clark the face of the WNBA and even credited a former player for the Fever rookie’s current popularity. It’s obvious that there is no favoritism on her podcast. Talking about the Lynx forward, she called her a complete player with the ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor.
She recalled her high school days when she won the state title final against Collier’s team but mentioned that the forward was not playing in that game. Knowing her journey and capabilities, the former Reuters forward praised the Lynx superstar.
“But Napheesa’s good. She’s probably the best player in our league. She is a hell of a player. Yeah, like has everything in her bag,” Cunningham said on the podcast.

It’s natural to hear good words about her competitor, as Napheesa Collier praised Cunningham during her interview with Sue Bird, calling her a tough competitor. But the impact of the reigning defensive player of the year winner is massive. Even the Lynx guard Courtney Williams warned the entire league about Collier returning from injury.
Talking about the Lynx side, Cunningham added that the team is very talented and has a very good coach. She mentioned that the former champions are on a hot run right now.
Napheesa Collier Could Make WNBA History By Winning The MVP Title
The Minnesota Lynx won four WNBA titles, and many superstar players represented the franchise over the years. Yet amongst those, Maya Moore and Sylvia Fowles won MVP titles, tying with the Los Angeles Sparks, the Houston Comets, Connecticut Sun, and Seattle Storm, the franchises with the most MVP players in the league.
Currently, ‘Phee’ is leading the race in the MVP discussions. Winning the accolade, she could lead the franchise to another impressive stat. But after a recent surge in performances, A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Mitchell rose to the MVP power rankings and could provide tough competition to the Lynx forward.
But leading the league’s top team with outstanding numbers could hand the last season’s runners-up a chance to clinch the title finally.
