Sophie Cunningham Happy With Atlanta Dream As First Opponent
The Fever team qualified for the playoffs as the sixth-place team; their opponent was not confirmed till the last day of the regular season. On her podcast, the star talked about her preferred opponent for the first series and provided her reasons for the same.
“I think I’m really leaning towards Atlanta because you’re in the same time zone. The flight is like an hour and fifteen. Or if you get Vegas it’s a different time zone, longer flight. Minnesota it’s only an hour time change, but I just don’t want to play Minnesota,” she said.
The Aces are an in-form team that finished the season with a 16-game winning streak, while the Lynx are the top side in the league, finishing the season with a 34-10 record. The Indiana team had a better record against Atlanta and has a realistic chance to advance to the next round.
