The WNBA is doing its best to get things moving in the right direction after multiple declines from the WNBPA. Breanna Stewart mentioned positive momentum, noting that the league sent a new proposal. Sophie Cunningham, though, is not happy with the offer.
The league made slight changes to its previous offer, making it a bit more lucrative with provisions for facilities and player perks. She opened up about her feelings in the latest episode of her podcast ‘Show Me Something.’

Sophie Cunningham Gets Real About WNBA Owners’ Approach

As for the new offer, the forward wants the league to sell their team to those who really want to be part of something great.
“It just blows my mind that these other owners are doing the most bare minimum. And it’s like sell your team and let other people who want to be a part of something great put their money into it. It’s just kind of crazy to me,” she said.
The league kept the revenue-sharing model the same but added team profits, increasing the value slightly. As for the player salaries, the WNBA put forward numbers in a similar range as before.
