The NBA is facing a tumultuous situation at the moment. With the FBI raids going on, the league is struggling to keep up with the chaos that has unfolded in recent times.
And right at the center of all the drama is none other than the Portland Trail Blazers’ Chauncey Billups and the Miami Heat guard, Terry Rozier. Both were ultimately charged by authorities with some sinister allegations. One involved illegal sports gambling, and the other tapped into the poker rigging schemes.
Meanwhile, as all of this unfolded, one particular detail came out that shocked everybody. With Sophie Cunningham voicing concerns about the CBA negotiations, she learned that Rozier will still be getting all his salaries. And the Fever star could not believe what she was hearing.
Sophie Cunningham Shocked To Hear Terry Rozier’s Salary Arrangement
In recent times, the debates about the revenue-sharing model between the NBA and the WNBA have been heavily debated. With the likes of Stephanie White pushing for a fair CBA, the news of Rozier came as a brutal shock.

Federal authorities took Rozier into custody on Thursday. ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that officials charged the Heat star with money laundering, wire fraud, and conspiracy. However, despite his arrest, reports confirmed that Rozier will still receive his full $26 million salary.

Hearing this, Cunningham could not keep her shocked state of mind to herself. Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Fever guard wrote, “No way. please tell me this is fake…”
Surely, this news was indeed a shocker for Cunningham. And while the speculation around Rozier receiving his full salary has gained momentum, here’s what the truth is all about.
Will Terry Rozier Really Receive His Full Salary?
In simple words, the answer is ‘yes.’ Rozier will receive his full salary. And the only reason is that the player is on administrative leave.

As per the CBA agreement of the NBA player, a player who is on administrative leave shall receive his salary in full.
To quote Exhibit F-7, “shall be ineligible to play in any of his team’s games. However, the player will continue to receive his salary and other welfare benefits to which he would be entitled as an active player.”
Surely, after such a revelation, the CBA talks in the WNBA will likely intensify further. Now, fans will have to wait and see what happens next.
