If anything, Sophie Cunningham and the Indiana Fever are folding their fans’ love with both hands. Despite the team struggling to stand its ground of late, there’s no sign of their fan base backing off.
Much to the effect of the support, Cunningham has become quite the household name in the WNBA. In the seventh season of her wonderful career, her fame only increased multiple-fold with the Indiana Fever. While she is getting so much attention, the Missouri-born shooting gaurd send a strong message way back home for her fans.
Sophie Cunningham Takes Shots At WNBA Teams While Addressing Fever Fans’ Love
The Fever has not been playing at a level their loyal fans would want to see. Though there has been an overall slum in their performance lately, it’s important to channel the motivation among them. Cunningham recently took the bold route to acknowledge the love and support the whole team is getting from their supporters, just like her.
“I think we have the best fans in the whole W, and I know every team says that. But they’re lying because I’m telling the truth. We have to protect our homecourt, and when we can fire up these fans, they’re feisty, they’re sassy, they’re kinda just like me,” Cunningham said.
Although it’s amazing to note that it’s been her first season at the franchise, and how she has grown to be the next big name. Along with Caitlin Clark, it was the former Mercury star who had arenas filled to watch her over and over again.
The tickets are selling fast, her social media is growing like no other player, and there’s a lot more to this season. It would be a really phenomenal run for her to take notes. And she will almost certainly be the franchise player.

Fever Will Need Sophie Cunningham On The Road Ahead
It would be an understatement of her skills if we talked only about her defending Clark. The thing that happened during the Connecticut Sun game is long gone. There’s more to her spell than just the viral hard neck grab. The Fever will need her going forward into the road games ahead.

Indiana will meet tough opponents right after the All-Star break. They’ll be facing the Sun and the defending champions, the New York Liberty, back-to-back on July 18 and 19. After that, they’ll hit the road again to challenge the Liberty in Brooklyn on July 22. All of this before finally returning home to take on the Las Vegas Aces on July 24.
