The 2026 Indiana Fever might not be very different from the last season, with the front office keeping the core intact. Sophie Cunningham was the final piece from the 2025 roster as she sacrificed her personal goals to return to the franchise.
While the coach Sephanie White backed the former Missouri star for her desire for the long-term contract, the player now showed her new wish.

Sophie Cunningham With $10 Million Car Wish
The Fever star was part of the Old National Bank’s second annual customer appreciation event. The forward interacted with fans and also spent time looking at luxury vehicles. The Fever franchise shared the event photos on Instagram.

The player signed a one-year, $665,000 deal to return to the Fever team in free agency. The WNBA star showed a strong interest in high-performance and luxury vehicles, including driving a pace car for NASCAR and engaging with luxury brands, rather than publicizing a large personal collection.

On the court, the player had a quieter night, focusing more on defensive duties. But the coach, Stephanie White, pointed out that she wanted the forward to be more active on the offensive end, too.
Stephanie White Wants Sophie Cunningham To Involve More On Offense
In 25 minutes, the versatile player scored just three points, netting one long-range shot in the game. She grabbed four rebounds and three assists. She committed three fouls on the night and was aggressive on the defensive end.
Talking about her involvement, coach White said, “Yeah, I thought she was good. Sophie is solid for us. On the defensive end, rebounding, her activity level, her communication. We’ve got to find her more, though.”

“She’s a knockdown three-point shooter. I thought we missed her a lot. We missed her open looks. She’s getting back to being an elite cutter because she’s also a very good cutter. And she’s a great ball mover. So we’ve just got to get her more touches on the offensive end,” White added.
Interestingly, in 2025, Sophie Cunningham was the fourth-highest scorer and rebounder on the team despite playing in 30 games in the season.
