The Indiana Fever might be close to securing a playoff berth just before the season’s final game. But the team and fans were down with the news of not having Caitlin Clark for the postseason. Stephanie White Provides Reason For Catlin Clark’s Season-Ending Injury
With the team’s situation to qualify for the playoffs dependent on every game result, many eyes were on the 2024 rookie’s return. The team provided an update before every game, highlighting the progress of the player’s recovery. Stephanie White even provided Clark with key role during her absence. Before the road games, HC White answered the decision to keep the playmaker out for the season.

“We knew that West Coast road trip was going to be a big one, to see where we could get, and how far we could get. And I think at the end of the day, she’s been working her butt off to be able to get back, and we’ve kind of run out of time to be able to do it in a safe way, in a safe manner,” White said in the press conference.
She added that the franchise chose Clark’s long-term health and mentioned that franchise is there not to see the player on the floor for a long period.
I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season. I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there, disappointed isn’t a big enough word to describe how I am feeling. I want to thank everyone who had my back… pic.twitter.com/paD5sEYG1q
