The WNBA-CBA negotiations show no signs of reaching a solution at the moment. With each passing day of no fruitful results, the chances of the players going into a work stoppage are becoming more and more inevitable. However, despite all the uncertainty surrounding the 2026 WNBA season, the fans are hyped up to see one name perform. And that is none other than Caitlin Clark.
Coming back after her groin injury ended the 2025 season, all eyes were on how the 24-year-old fared. Now, with two games down for Team USA, the Indiana Fever star is looking as impressive as ever. So much so that head coach Stephanie White heaped some significant praise on her 5-star student.

Stephanie White Impressed With Caitlin Clark’s Return To Form
White had a tough time bringing fans Clark’s injury news repeatedly last season. A first-hand witness to the 2024 Rookie of the Year’s struggles, the Fever head coach shared a week-by-week recovery plan back in 2025. Thankfully, with the Iowa Hawkeyes star finally navigating her way back, White seems to be very happy. Especially the manner in which the 2-time WNBA All-Star dominated proceedings.
In a recent X post from ‘FeverBandWagon,’ White could be heard saying, “I thought she’s been great. I think she really set the tone with her facilitating in game one. I mean, she’s one of the greatest passers that the game has ever seen, and now she’s got so many weapons on the floor.”

Analyzing her game further, White pointed out how she thought that Clark would show some nerves. But her elite basketball IQ made her adapt quickly to the situation, ultimately guiding her team to glory. Although she had an off-day against Puerto Rico, the way the Fever star adjusted to Kara Lawson’s experiments was remarkable.
Moreover, the Fever head coach also pointed out how playing consecutive games is harder for everyone. Thus, for someone coming back after a long time, Clark’s performances were telling.
How Did Caitlin Clark Fare In Team USA Jersey?

Ahead of the FIBA World Cup qualifiers, the 2024 All WNBA First Team felt quite nervous. But as soon as she was on the basketball court, the champion within her took over. Making her debut against Senegal, Clark dropped a stellar performance. Clinching 17 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists, she paved the way for her team’s dominant 110-46 victory.

She also shot 4-of-5 with four triples under 19 minutes. Unfortunately, returning to the court within two days, the 2024 Rookie of the Year looked a little off color. Coming on for 16 minutes, the 24-year-old managed eight points, two assists, and three rebounds against Puerto Rico. However, in her defense, she came in for the last five minutes of each quarter as part of Lawson’s tactics.
All in all, Clark has once again taken the female basketball realm by storm. With fans hoping for her fine form to continue, the upcoming days will be crucial.
