But after coaching her one full season, White offered a fresh perspective on the Iowa alum and what goes on inside her mind.
According to White, what stood out was not a single performance but Clark’s consistent dedication. In White’s words, the season with Clark could be summed up in one word: resilience.

White admitted that even though she knew of Clark’s reputation before joining the Fever, seeing her in action every day changed her view dramatically.
From what the coach saw, Clark approaches each practice, drill, and film session with an intensity that leaves “no wasted movements, no wasted reps, no wasted anything.”
“With Caitlin, you know she’s a hard worker because of what she’s been able to accomplish. But until you see that there is no wasted movements, no wasted reps, no wasted anything, you just have such level of respect for how she goes about her work every day,” White said.

Despite a season filled with external pressure and expectations, Clark didn’t shy away. White noted that Clark managed everything and still showed up ready to work.
