The stalled CBA discussions elongated the offseason as the league and players’ association agreed on a free agency moratorium, suspending qualifying offers until a new CBA. While many free agents and coaches are enjoying their time off, Stephanie White is back on the basketball court.
It’s not about the game plans, scouting, or even playing a game; the Fever coach was enjoying her time off by doing what she loves to do – watch basketball action.

Stephanie White Attends Indiana Pacers’ Game
The Indiana Fever and Pacers have a very special bond apart from being part of the same city and ownership group. Recently, Sophie Cunningham headlined the NBA with a courtside appearance during the Indiana Pacers game. And now Stephanie white was at the Gainbridge Arena, supporting the Pacers.
The Fever and the Pacers share the same arena. On Wednesday, as Indiana’s NBA team hosted the Raptors, the 48-year-old coach sat in the front row. The Fever took to social media to announce White’s attendance. “Head coach Stephanie White in the building supporting the @pacers,” the team posted on Instagram.
Without their star players, the Pacers had a rough season and even lost the game in front of White. But this Indiana Team also showed heart and stayed competitive in the season, despite losing key players.

Stephanie White Opens Up On Fevers’ Free Agency Plans
The Fever coach was on Sue Bird’s podcast, where she answered many questions, one of which was about the team’s roster plans in free agency. The new CBA terms remain unclear, and many teams are looking to get their financial policies in order. White was happy to answer.
White said, “I’m glad I’m not the GM, I can tell you that. From a timing standpoint, how much time there will be to adjust, what it’s gonna look like, roster space, roster management. Not just what it looks like financially. How many players are we gonna have on our roster? What is it gonna look like for us? We can’t just think in terms of one year. What’s it gonna look like for us in the next three years? What can it look like in the next three years, what can it look like in the next five years?”
It is clear that the Fever side is now looking for a few long-term plans with their players and upcoming roster. But White already made Kelsey Mitchell her top priority.
