Caitlin Clark surely did enjoy her time at the WNBA All-Stars. Albeit cheering her team from the sidelines. Playing the Connecticut Sun last Tuesday, the Indiana Fever recorded a resounding victory. Unfortunately, much of the celebration had to be subdued due to Clark. In the final moments of the game, the WNBA phenom injured her groin, sending waves of concern.
Now, as the Fever regroups, they have a big problem on their hands. With Clark nursing her groin, significant questions remain about her availability this Tuesday. Shedding light on the matter, Coach Stephanie White provided an important heads-up.
Stephanie White Has Bad News For Caitlin Clark Fans
Making the worst fears come true, White confirmed that Clark would not be taking to the court on Tuesday. And this means that the Fever will have to find a way to win against the New York Liberty. Updating about the situation, White stated that the team has had a conversation with the doctors about the 23-year-old. While Clark is said to be progressing, the team would continue to assess her situation throughout the week.
“I think she’s progressing,” White said. “I think that we’re continuing to address everything that needs to be addressed … I don’t expect her to be available on Tuesday, so we’re just going to continue to take it one day at a time and let her get her evaluations early this week.” ( via ESPN)
