Stephanie White has emerged as one of the brightest coaches of the WNBA. Playing without the likes of Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, White still managed to take the Fever to the semifinals.
Now, as the offseason is underway at the moment, the Fever head coach is gearing up to build her team for the next season. And White has kept Kelsey Mitchell as her top priority ahead of free agency. However, apart from trying to make a solid roster, White is also concerned about something else. As the WNBA continues to grow, White is warning the players about its toxic fan wars.

Stephanie White Wants To Change The Toxic Fan Wars That Often Impact The Players
The Indiana Fever head coach is always vocal about her opinions. Only recently, White pushed for a fair CBA deal. And now, she has reflected on how the added popularity of the league is also bringing in a ton of negativity.
White recently appeared on an episode of the ‘Bird’s Eye View’ podcast. And while she was navigating through a number of topics, the Fever head coach delved deep into the toxicity that has surrounded the league.
Speaking on the problem, she stated that players must be smart enough not to get involved and also stay clear of all the negativities. “Some things I’d like to change, I’d like to change the toxicity around our league. I know that’s not really a controllable factor. I love the fact that the women in our league are always at the forefront of social change, and sports in general is. But women in particular,” said White.

Well, White does have a very important point here. In recent times, there have been instances of fans forming groups to throw shade at other players while supporting one particular team or player. Meanwhile, White also had another interesting topic to talk about. She pointed out all the various leadership roles that former WNBA players can explore.
Stephanie White Wants Former WNBA Stars To Take More Control
There have been a lot of quality WNBA players in the past. However, once they have retired, most of them have only resorted to coaching as a career option. And this is what White wants to change.

In her recent appearance on the ‘Bird’s Eye View’ podcast, the Fever star pointed out, “I also want us to have former players in GM roles and president roles and at the Commissioner’s office and in the league because we do see it from a different point of view and we’re not just hiring necessarily a name or a candidate, we’re hiring the right person for the job if we’re hiring someone who continues to value our league and continues to move the needle for our league.”.
Thus, with a lot going on, fans cannot wait to see how things pan out for White and her team in the next season.
