Stephen A. Smith Predicts A’ja Wilson As MVP For The 2025 WNBA Season
The 2024 WNBA season saw two players going neck to neck till the final phase of the season for the MVP award. The 2025 MVP race is even fiercer with many shocking performances and record holders making strong claims for the illustrious award.

While Napheesa Collier was a consistent performer in the season, Alyssa Thomas had more impactful games in the season with her triple-doubles. Although those two players had multiple All-Stars on the roster for support, the Aces’ forward Wilson and the Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell influenced the game results single-handedly for their respective teams.
Wilson, in particular, had been spectacular in the second half of the season through her massive productions. She not only kept the Aces in the top tier but broke multiple records. Wilson set the WNBA blocks records, bettered her double-double stats, and even became the first player with a 30-20 stat line in the league.
Her performances left everyone speechless and also helped the team set a record for most consecutive wins. Stephen A. Smith is also one of those who are in awe of the star forward’s performance and predicts her as the winner of MVP award.

“As we wind down the @WNBA season, just would like to thank all the talented women who gave us a season of all seasons. If there’s truly no funny stuff in the air @_ajawilson22 really is the MVP. I’m biased but the historical numbers and run their on aren’t,” Staley wrote in her post.
