Nothing is going well for the Chicago Sky. Even after their recent win, a few fans trolled the Sky franchise for their video on ‘X’ featuring Angel Reese. The player, though, is having a great season. On the court, she is breaking records, off the court, Reese is acting in a movie, releasing her signature shoe and clicking photos for the renowned magazines.
But now she is joining a firm, TOGATHXR, as a co-owner, looking to impact women’s sports in general. Another co-owner is Sue Bird, who praised the Sky forward for her decision.
Sue Bird Praises Angel Reese
The former LSU star will be joining the ownership group of TOGETHXR, as per a social media post by the firm. The media and commerce company works to promote women’s sports with founder members like Sue Bird, Alex Morgan, Chloe Kim and Simone Manuel.

The post from the firm reads, “Reese will join with co-founders Alex Morgan, Sue Bird, Simone Manuel, and Chloe Kim, who started the TOGETHXR collective to bolster women’s sports by delivering authentic storytelling. Reese is a member of TOGETHXR’s newest wave of athletes, which also includes Michelle Wie West. She hopes to bring a new lens to the group.”
The founder member and WNBA legend Sue Bird expressed excitement watching fellow basketball star joining the group. Knowing her impact and popularity, the Seattle Storm guard praised the Sky forward.
“TOGETHXR was built to challenge the system and prove what we’ve always known: that women in sports set the standard, shift the story, and drive the conversations that matter. Angel Reese is already doing that. She brings a confidence and leadership that not only defines her but adds to the legacy we’re building as we continue to push women’s sports forward,” Bird said.

Angel Reese Apologizes to Teammates For Her ‘Misconstrued’ Statement
Off the court, the former LSU star shocked the Sky faithful with her comments about the 2025 season. Reese dropped a truth bomb on the franchise and presented her needs for the upcoming season. However, the article covering the news highlighted that she thrashed her team’s performance and demanded better players.
After a recent win over the Sun, the forward cleared the air and even apologized to her teammates for a wrongly constructed article. “I didn’t intentionally mean to put down my teammates… I already apologized to them. What I say can be taken any type of way, and I want to grow from this. I want to apologize to my teammates for the article,” Reese said in the press conference.
Sadly, she will miss the upcoming fixture against the Indiana Fever following her eighth technical foul in the 2025 season.
