Sydney Colson has had quite a frustrating season this year. Suffering a brutal injury, the Fever star was forced to sit out the entire season. Back in August, Colson’s injury scare clouded Fever’s playoff dreams significantly.
Thankfully, despite experiencing many ups and downs, the Indiana outfit managed to advance to the semifinals. However, with the season finally concluding, the Fever star is seemingly trying to have some fun.
As the NBA season has started, Colson, along with Aari McDonald, visited the Indiana Pacers vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder. And while the Pacers lost the game 141-135, the WNBA star had a hilarious request for Lance Stephenson.
What Did Sydney Colson Say To Lance Stephenson?
In a recent Instagram update, the Indiana Fever’s official Instagram account shared an interesting video. It initially showed Colson and McDonald sitting side by side and enjoying the game.

However, next, the 36-year-old went on to make a rather unusual request to Stephenson. She asked him to perform his signature ear blow move. “Hey Lance, do that. do that,” Colson said. “Hey, that’s legendary. That’s a classic.”

Now, for the uninitiated, Stephenson famously performed the ear blow act in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals back in 2014. While trying to throw the Miami Heat off guard, Stephenson blew in LeBron James’ ears trying to distract him.
Surely, this was a hilarious request on the part of Colson. Meanwhile, on a more serious note, as the Fever star will now be entering free agency, she recently heaped praises on Caitlin Clark.
Sydney Colson Pens Emotional Message For Caitlin Clark
Despite her injury, the 36-year-old had several memorable moments this year. For example, Colson joined the AU Pro Basketball for the 2026 offseason. But perhaps her most memorable moment came during her stay with the Indiana Fever. Sharing the locker room with Clark, Colson stated that it was an amazing experience watching in a different light.

“It was cool being on a team with her, getting to see her in another light. It was good to see a lighter side of her. Unfortunately, when you’re injured, you have to adjust your mindset and get mentally tougher. I kept talking to her a lot about staying vocal. You don’t want to lose this time with your teammates just because you’re sidelined—you can still lead and build relationships,” she said.
It is quite evident that Colson enjoyed her stay in Indiana. Now, it will be interesting to see if she re-signs with the Fever again.
