When DeWanna Bonner returned to Gainbridge Fieldhouse as a Mercury player, fans targeted her with ‘boos’ every time she touched the ball. The player kept the receipt and returned the favor with a season-high performance at PHX Arena against the Fever. The 35-point Fever demolition gave Bonner supporters much to cheer about. But Sydney Colson’s girlfriend was not happy with the treatment.
She used social media to express her feelings and thrashed the ‘haters’ with stern action. The Fever fan also supported her as they showed love for the injured stars for their efforts and wished for their speedy recovery.
Sydney Colson’s Girlfriend Takes Jab At The Phoenix Mercury
The franchise that lost the previous game at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse arena burst into life with a win at their home court. They shared a post mocking Fever’s punch line, “Now You Know,” after a mega win.
Sydney Colson got injured in the first quarter and left the game. Aari McDonald also left the court with a broken leg in the fourth quarter. With Caitlin Clark already out following a groin injury, the Indiana franchise is now without a legit point guard. Highlighting the same, Amadi Brooks, Colson’s girlfriend, took a jibe at the Mercury team.
“lol at bragging about beating a team with no PGs,” she wrote on ‘X’, replying to a post shared to mock the Fever team.

Injuries To Sydney Colson And Aari McDonald Put the Indiana Fever Under Pressure
There is no end to adversity for the Indiana Fever. The super team formed at the start of the season faced an injury crisis right from the beginning. Caitlin Clark missed a total of 19 games. At the same time, the side won some games and the Commissioner’s Cup without their star player. The current situation puts them in a difficult position.

Coach Stephanie White is now without a true point guard to facilitate the offense. Moreover, the franchise cannot rush CC into action with the risk of losing her for the postseason if any other injury occurs. The front office will be working on a hardship contract, trying to add a PG to the roster with just nine players active.
More importantly, the Fever will welcome its arch rivals, the Chicago Sky, on August 9 without a true PG.
