During that time, she led the Huskies to four straight NCAA Championships, winning the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four all four years – something no other player in men’s or women’s college basketball has done. She finished her UConn career with 2,676 points, 1,179 rebounds, and 414 blocks.

Breanna Stewart’s WNBA Career

Stewart was the 1st overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft, selected by the Seattle Storm. She made an immediate impact, winning Rookie of the Year in her debut season. Since then, she has added:

  • 2× WNBA Champion (2018, 2020 with Seattle Storm)

  • 2× WNBA Finals MVP (2018, 2020)

  • 2× WNBA MVP (2018, 2023)

In 2023, Stewart signed with the New York Liberty and continued to dominate. She scored a career-high 45 points in one game, showing she is still at the top of her game.

Playing Style

At 6-foot-4, Stewart is one of the most versatile forwards in basketball. She can score inside, stretch the floor with her shooting, and protect the rim on defense. Her ability to do everything makes her one of the toughest matchups in the WNBA.
